SM Scholarship Program for 2011

How to Apply for Free College Scholarships Program of SM Foundation for 2011 – Be one of the next batch of SM Scholars! The SM College Scholarship Program of SM Foundation now starts accepting applicants until December 20, 2010. The scholarship program is open to all graduating students of public high schools in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Lucena, Pampanga, Bacolod, Cebu, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao with a weighted average of at least 88% by the second or third grading period in their senior year. Household income of the applicant’s family must not exceed P150,000 per annum.

SM scholars are encouraged to enroll in courses leading to Baccalaureate degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Elementary and Secondary Education and Accountancy.


They can pursue their studies in SM Foundation’s partner schools in the greater Manila area namely:

*Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila
*Philippine Normal University
*FEU-East Asia

Aside from matriculation fees, SM Foundation also provides for the scholars’ monthly allowance. The activities of the scholars are closely monitored by the Foundation providing them with year-long activities like training programs, value-formation seminars, Holy Retreat, Christmas parties and educational tours. Scholars are also given summer/Christmas break jobs to enable them to earn and augment their allowances.

To apply, completely fill out the SM College Scholarship Application Form and attach clear photocopy of F138 or fourth year High School Report Card with the second or third grading period’s weighted average. Also attach Certificate of passing the entrance test in school of choice, if available, and photocopy of 2009 Income Tax Return (ITR) or Certificate of Non-filing of Income.
